The Restaurant was born in the exact middle of the 80s in those same locals where an activity of clothing and textiles was previously runned. It has been created with the experience of people who had already created and managed a very famous place in Siena: the TinaPica. But this new adventure was a real challenge: we finally went in the mainsquare, facing a multitude of people that previously did not even consider us. We were in the heart of the city, exposed to the residents and to the foreign customers. And going deep into the thousand secrets of the culinary experience and of the management philosophy is a complex and fascinating thing. And so it was...Siena is a city of art and is strongly devoted to tourism. Those were the years of the weak lira, but particularly of the strong German mark (strange talk of the old coins in the Euro era). Thousands of people came and probably the work and business took precedence pushing us to give more credit to the quantity rather than quality. However, we knew that the events are free through the years to come qualcosa'altro needed and more. This is why we have committed our best minds to understand, learn and turn toward what is most important in food: the food quality and service and never forget the historical tradition and the atmosphere we live in urban planning. Over the years we have demonstrated that we were not at all lacking the spirit of initiative and sometimes even we had also made redundant.
The commitment was never alleviated and the passion never wavered. And if we are still here after so many years, perhaps it also means that a small part we were right and maybe even done our job. That challenge is never finished and this site proves it. We wanted not only to a company policy or management decisions but also to open to an even wider world, to measure with a "square" even bigger and even more to expose ourselves to the view, relentless and severe but serene trust, of those who will judge us.
